Insulating Castable

Janta Overseas, a India based company, manufacturing a Insulating Castable which range a varieties of castables with temperatures 1000 0C to 1800 0C and densities of 0.400g/cc to 1.85 g/cc.

Insulating Castables are manufactured by mixing lightweight refractory aggregates, refractory powders, binders, special additives and high alumina cements.

The inherent properties of Insulating Castables include a low bulk density and a high porosity. Lower densities results in lower furnace steelwork and enable greater insulation with thinner linings.

The lightweight and low thermal conductivity of the material minimize heat storage and heat transfer, resulting in substantial reductions in furnace fuel consumption. An insulating castable is appropriate for use as a filler between high refractory lining and block insulation. The insulating castable permeates all corners and fissures, ensuring complete cavity elimination.
